To bake an apple pie, you will need the following ingredients:







2-3 pounds of apples (about 6 medium apples)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 recipe for a double crust pie dough (homemade or store-bought)
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Peel, core, and slice the apples into thin wedges. In a large bowl, mix the sliced apples with the sugar,
cinnamon, nutmeg, butter, and flour.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out one of the pie doughs into a 12-inch circle. Transfer the dough to
a 9-inch pie dish, pressing it into the bottom and up the sides.
Pour the apple filling into the pie dish and spread it out evenly. Roll out the second pie dough into a
12-inch circle and cut it into strips. Place the strips on top of the filling in a lattice pattern.
Bake the pie for 15 minutes, then reduce the heat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and continue baking for
an additional 40-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
Allow the pie to cool for at least 30 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
