Pre-lesson (5 minutes)
1. Teacher greets the pupils.
2. Teacher starts screen sharing to show a video (YouTube) which will be
related to the topic of the day.
3. Pupils will be asked questions based on the video watched:
What is your opinion on the video watched?
Do you all prefer to do shopping with your family, with friends or just
alone?
Does the same situation happen among your family when shopping?
4. Teacher introduces the topic of the lesson and the grammar focus to the
pupils by using a PowerPoint slide.
Lesson delivery
Activity A: (6 minutes)
1. Teacher will start to explain the verbs related to money with relevant
examples. (not more than 4 minutes)
2. Pupils will be asked questions based on verbs for the teacher to check on
their understanding.
3. Teacher will play an audio that relates to the topic of money and shopping to
the pupils.
4. Pupils will be shared with some questions to fill in the blanks based on the
audio listened.
5. Pupils will be asked to share their answers for the questions that have been
screened by the teacher using the PowerPoint slides.

Activity B: (7 minutes)
1.
Pupils will be given a worksheet that contains 5 MCQ questions and 5
structured questions (fill in the blanks).
2.
Pupils will be required to work in pairs.
3.
Pupils will listen to audio and while listening they will have to work in pairs to
answer the questions on the worksheet given.
4.
Pupils will be given the correct answer once they are done discussing by the
teacher replaying the audio again.
Activity C: (10 minutes)
1. Pupils will be required to get in a group of four.
2. One of the group members will be required to read the story to their group
members.
3. Once done, pupils will be required to summarize the story as a group.
4. Teacher will call on one pupil from the group to tell the first significant event in
the story.
5. Then, another pupil for the next significant and so on until the last pupil from
each group will be required to do the same.
Post-lesson: (2 minutes)
1. Teacher recaps the lesson.
2. Pupils are instructed by the teacher to find out about action verbs and try to
understand them before the next class.
3. Teacher ends the lesson.
