Running Head: RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND HUMANITY Relationship between Artificial Intelligence and Humanity Name Institution 1 RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND HUMANITY 2 Relationship between Artificial Intelligence and Humanity Artificial intelligence is the development of computer systems which have enabled computers and computerized machines to perform activities that are similar to those of human beings. The human intelligence developed in a computer includes speech recognition, visual perception, and translation of languages, mathematical calculations, and decision making. In recent times, scientists have argued that artificial intelligence is impacting on humanity, and technology needs to be controlled to preserve human ethics. They argue that there might be a change in the way people relate and carry out human activities in the near future. In the near future, it is expected that the artificial intelligence will combine with the intricacy and strengthened pattern recognition of human intelligence which could be shared with the machines to their enhance speed, storage, and knowledge. Many kinds of literature from computer engineers have discovered that artificial intelligence has changed and could continue changing how human beings live to learn, and work and also how communities are governed, nations relate with each other, industries operate and enhanced communication. This paper contains an explanation of the subject and an overview of my research project together with the references and their relevance to the project. Pandya, J. (2019, April 12). Retrieved from https://www.forbes.com/sites/cognitiveworld/2019/01/04/protectinghumanity-in-the-face-of-artificial-intelligence/#478dc1fdd109 The article highlights the effect of computer science on humanity both in contemporary times and in the near future. Pandya (2019) claims that scientist need to protect humanity from the artificial intelligence which is greatly evolving with the technology. The article is published with the Forbes Magazine which implies it has been reviewed and approved as scientific and RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND HUMANITY 3 factual article. In my literature, I will use the article to show how technology has led to evolution of artificial energy and its likely effects on humanity in the near future. Livingston, S., & Risse, M. (2019). Livingston & Risse (2019) show that with determination on human behaviors’ patterns, artificial intelligences could have a negative impact on humanity. The article is published by the Google scholar which implies that the article is reliable and peer reviewed. The article will be used to state the future of artificial intelligence I the world of fast developing technology. Castro, D., & McLaughlin, M. (2019). Ten Ways the Precautionary Principle Undermines Progress in Artificial Intelligence. Information Technology and Innovation Foundation. Retrieved from https://itif.org/publications/2019/02/04/ten-ways-precautionary-principleundermines-progress-artificial-intelligence The article is about the precautionary principles which aim at controlling artificial intelligence from going against technological ethics. Castro & McLaughlin (2019) state that is if scientists are left to develop machines without precautionary principles, they could interfere with human rights. The article is published with the “Information Technology and Innovation Foundation” which implies that it is peer reviewed. I will the articles to outlines the precautionary principles which states how artificial intelligence should be developed. RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND HUMANITY 4 Gomes, M. D. G. According to Gomes (2019), the machines with human features such as hands, speech recognition elements, and brain like software which that can behaves more less like that of human beings. The article is peer reviewed and published with the U.S. Patent Application implying it is credible for academic use. It will be used in the introductory part to show how computer scientists derived the idea of artificial intelligences from Gods creation. Kuner, C., Cate, F. Retrieved from https://academic.oup.com/idpl/article/8/4/289/5299551 The article “Expanding the artificial intelligence-data protection debate” explain the computer innovations which led to establishment and growth of artificial intelligence and the how the technology has rapidly developed in the recent years. According to Kuner et al., (2018), artificial knowledge started from simple recognition of faces, translating documents, and email filter which developed to recognition of voices, making calculations and even making decisions. The article has been published with the Google scholar making it credible for use in academic research. I will use the article to write the literature of the development of artificial intelligence to the level where the scientists have argued that it is challenging God’s creation. Gans, J. S. (2018). The author claims that the developments have become super intelligent which might be a threat to a way of life of human beings. The article has been published with the National Bureau of Economic Research making reliable for academic use. I will therefore use the article to explore the future of artificial intelligence in my literature. Pan, Y. (2016). Heading toward artificial intelligence 2.0. Engineering, 2(4), 409-413. The authors relook into the ethics of some technologies such as selfdriving cars and think there should be regulations which should be used to control the current inventions. The authors were allowed to publish their content with the Thirty-first aaai conference on artificial intelligence which implies it reliable to academic work. I will use the article to identify challenges which have emerged due to computer inventions. RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND HUMANITY 7 References Castro, D., & McLaughlin, M.
