I am always fascinated that Rizal never carried any shiny weapons, but he carried with
him his pen and burning passion to save and protect the 19th century Philippines. His patriotism,
and intellect revolutionized the Filipino way of thought and his writings ultimately exposed the
injustices of the Spanish rulers.
