Nanofiber use for cloth face mask against SARS CoV-2 Our world experienced the SARS Cov-2 or the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus, this virus can spread whenever a person sneeze or cough so it can inject infected particles on air. These particles called aerosol can travel hundreds of meters and it can breathe into lungs by others that makes them infected. To protect the people or reducing inhalation exposure to airborne particles, they need something to wear in their mouth and nose to prevent inhaling the particles spreading on air so the World Health Organization (WHO) suggest wearing facemask. A lot of people are using facemask for prevention because cases of having this virus are increasing so a lot of people are very worried that they will have the virus or they will be infected. Nanoscale science and technology is a great help in fighting this kind of virus because nanotechnology manipulate things at nanoscale dimension which is very trend nowadays and it increase the production of things with nanoparticles. To fully protect the people to be infected with the virus they use nanofibers in facemask. Nanofibers are used to improve the efficiency of filter media it is the key elements that use for filter materials in the face mask. Filter efficiency is known to improve as the size of the fibers decreases. As the fiber diameter decreases, the most penetrating particles size decreases and the capture efficiency of the most penetrating particle size increases. But nanofiber is not existing alone in a filtration but with a layer of a fabric, typically a nonwoven fabric. According to research that are published in ACS Nano the combination of cotton with natural silk or chiffon makes for the most effective mask. They do a lot of test to prove the effectiveness of the fabric. With the help of this facemask it can help a million of people to be protected.
