A continuous beam ABCD is shown in Figure 1, the beam has a constant stiffness EI (with E = 200
GPa and I = 150 x 106 mm4) and the support at B sinks 18 mm. Using Claperyon’s theorem,
determine the following:
1.1 The reactions at supports A, B, C and D
