Heat capacity, or thermal capacity, is the measurable physical quantity that specifies the amount
of heat required to change the temperature of an object or body by 1 oC. The SI unit of heat
capacity is joule per kelvin, J/K. The specific heat capacity (Cp) is the amount of heat required to
change the temperature of 1 kg of an object or body by 1 oC. The SI unit of specific heat capacity
is joule per kelvin, J/Kg.K.
