Effects of education on individuals?
• In education, the government uses informative advertising to show
the negative side effects of like smoking to teach the public about
negative side effects. For example in Australia the government
made it a law for cigarette companies to put side effects of the
product on the carton.
• The demerit good is a good that doesn’t effect the individual
positively or society, so education teaches society about the
consequences of the consumption of the demerit good.
• Education helps as it will reduce the demand and consumption of
a product as they are shown or taught the effects of consumption
of certain demerit goods.
