The Man Who Threw a Ball at the Speed of a
Car
In 2002 a person became the first man to throw a ball at more than 100mph
during a match against England . This man was none other than Pakistani Bowler
and Legend, Shoaib Akhtar.
His record may have been broken in terms of speed, but in terms of being the first
in cricket history to bowl a ball with a electronic speed of 100mph, approximately
165 km/h. An object as small as a cricket ball at that speed can cause massive
injury and with a direct hit even death. A ball like as fast as that doesn’t even take
a second to get to the wicket, literaly, a ball at that speed can reach the wicket in
4 milisecond, and if we are talking about it crossing a football field with a constant
speed than that is over a few seconds. This was one of the first Pakistani World
records and one of the few world records in cricket at that time. This record will
forever be remembered not only orally but in the Guinness Book of World
Records too. Shoaib Akhtar was a star in the history of cricket and because of that
record, Pakistan is famous.
Shoaib Akhtar became a legend who will be remembered during a cricket match
in 2002. He is known all over the world due to this record and is considered a
legend and star in cricket history and always will be.
