Micro Environment DEFINITION A micro environment is also known as the internal environment The direct environment in which the business functions Has most direct + and – influences on business Consists of factors that influence business from within Micro Environment Vision, Mission Statement, Goals and Objectives Organisational Culture Organisational Resources Management & Leadership The organisational structure of the business The 8 functions & activities In this lesson we will only be discussing the following: Vision, Mission Statement, Goals and Objectives Organisational Culture Organisational Resources Vision, Mission Statement, Goals and Objectives VISION The vision represents the idea or dream of the business and where they would like the business to be in the future The vision inspires stakeholders Must be easily understood Bridges gap between present and future MISSION STATEMENT A mission statement gives a clear outline of the way in which the business intends to achieve its vision GOALS Long term plans Goals are set to be able to reach the vision set by the business OBJECTIVES Short term aims Objectives are set by businesses to be able to reach the long term goal Organisational Culture How management makes decisions How the staff interacts How deals are negotiated by the company The morals and ethics of a business The way the company is structured can be formal or informal Organisational Resources Organisational Resources = ALL resources available to the business Examples: 1.
