How does the blood clotting
work?
1. Blood vessels are damaged
2. platelets activate, chain reaction occurs
3. Fibrinogen reacts with with platelet and produce
fibrin
4. Clot is made by fibrin and platelet

A clot forms in a major vein of
the body, especially leg may
restrict the return of the blood to
the heart.
Pulmonary Embolism
Clot in a vein detach and
travel through the heart to
the lungs where it becomes
wedged.
