Skeletal muscle- A muscle which is connected to the skeleton to form a part of the mechanical system which moves the limbs and other parts of the body. 2. Striated muscle- Muscle tissues in which the contractile fibrils in the cells are aligned in parallel bundles, muscles of this type are attached to the skeleton by tendons and are under voluntary control. 3. Cardiac muscle – It is an involuntary, striated muscle that constitutes the main tissue of the walls of the heart. 4. Endomysium – Is a wispy layer of areolar connective tissue that sheaths each individual myocyte. 5. Perimysium – is a sheath of connective tissue that groups muscle fibers into bundles or fascicles. 6. Fascicle- A bundle of structures, such as nerve or muscle fibers or conducting vessels in plants. 7. Tendons – A tendon is a tough band of fibrous connective tissue that connects muscle to bone and is capable of withstanding tension. 8. Aponeuroses – A fibrous sheet or flat, expanded tendon, giving attachment to muscular fibers and serving as the means of origin or insertion of a flat muscle. 9. Smooth muscle – Is a type of muscle tissue which is used by various systems to apply pressure to vessels and organs. 10. Involuntary muscle – Are muscles in the human body whose contraction is controlled by the autonomic nervous system.
