"Walk and Talk” One Liner Lesson Plan I. Introduction A. Learning Objective: Students are expected to “Walk and Talk” instead of standing around. Students should recognize the one-liner then follow the instruction given. Tell Phase I. This is shown through the Guidelines for Success- CLAWS Be Compassionate Students will show compassion by realizing others need to arrive on time. Be a Leader Students will walk and talk and use the phrase when needed Be Accountable Students will be responsible for walking while talking and not blocking walkways so they can arrive on time to class Be Wise Students will use wisdom when deciding how long to socialize Be Self-Reliant Students will avoid hanging around in the halls to talk and move to class in a timely manner B. II. Expectations of what students should do in the hallways 1. Students will walk and talk instead of stopping to talk 2. Students will recognize and be familiar with the term “walk and talk” 3. Students will take ownership and use it amongst each other. Show Phase A. Role play walk and talk B. It is time to change classes and there is a group of students stopping to talk in the hall.
