From Embryo to Baby
1. The growing embryo develops in the uterus.
2. The embryo obtains food through the placenta. The food comes through the tube-like
structure called the umbilical cord and into the embryo.
3. The amnion is the fluid in which the baby develops in, the amnion protects the embryo
from bumps and knocks.
4. The embryo becomes a foetus after 11 weeks.
5. After fertilization, most babies are born after 9 months or 38 weeks.
6. The muscles contract in a way that helps to push the baby out of the uterus.
