One Pager Directions – Sacraments of Healing
A one pager is a way to visually share key ideas and information from what you have learned. When
you create a one pager, you are trying to use both visual symbols and important words to clearly and
concisely share your most important takeaways with someone else. For this one pager, I’ve provided
you with an option of templates. Choose ONE template to present all of the following information.
If you’d like, you may trace the template onto cardstock (must be 8 ½ x 11) or you may envision a
different format for the layout than the one I’ve provided you with.
Your one pager will be presenting the Sacraments of Healing (Reconciliation & Anointing of
the Sick). For each of the sacraments, you must include (in word, images, symbols, etc.) the
following elements:
Required Elements for Each Sacrament:
● Title (Sacraments of Healing)
● Matter (signs/symbols associated with the sacrament)
● Form (prayers) → Keep in mind, it would be impossible to include ALL of the prayers for
each sacrament. Instead, focus on key words/phrases.
● Minister
● Effects of the Sacrament (at least three)
● One quotation from Scripture which references the sacrament (hint: look at your notes).
Must be properly cited (Eg. Genesis 1:2)
● A border that includes words and/or images to represent the main themes/events of the
work
You may add details above and beyond those listed. Use multiple colors to enhance your work.
Please be sure to follow the rubric posted on My BG to guide your design. Please submit your
project in your individual Google folder that has been set up for you for Catholicism class.
In order to communicate the message entrusted to her by Christ, the Church needs art. Art must make perceptible, and as far as
possible attractive, the world of the spirit, of the invisible, of God. It must therefore translate into meaningful terms that which is
in itself ineffable. Art has a unique capacity to take one or other facet of the message and translate it into colours, shapes and
sounds which nourish the intuition of those who look or listen. It does so without emptying the message itself of its transcendent
value and its aura of mystery.
