Place the card on top of the cup Place one penny in the middle on top of the card Flick the edge of the card, do not flick it upwards or downwards. Try more pennies Activity 2 Materials- metal washers 1. Stack all of the washers in one stack except for one 2. One person carefully use one of the washers to forcefully and quickly slide it to hit the washer at the bottom of the stack. 3. Do this two more times Activity 3 Materials-2 eggs, one marked “?” and the other marked “!”- be careful with the eggs 1. 2. 3. 4. Carefully take the egg marked “?” and spin it on the desk Gently stop the egg from spinning and immediately take your hand off the egg. Record your observations on activity answer sheet Repeat instructions using egg marked “!” Activity 4 Materials- 8th grade science book 1. Place book on table and let it sit there for 3 mins 2.
