Patient Trolley
The Patient Trolley is powered by an electric motor and puts an end to the physical strain of
maneuvering cumbersome and heavy patient trolley around medical premises. It is as effective
when moving up and down ramps as it is on level surfaces.
Using this device will greatly reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries among porters and
nurses of all ages. In addition to safeguarding personnel, the Patient Trolley also reduces the risk
to hospital property.
A trolley installed with this device will move ahead in a smooth and controlled manner. It will not
tend to slide towards a lower gradient, but instead maintain a consistent path as directed by the
staff member. This prevents bumps and bangs against walls and expensive medical equipment
while importantly enhancing the patient’s well being.
Additionally, an electrically powered height adjustment function provides comfort for the patient
and convenience for staff. The vertical movement is smooth, comfortable and activated by a user
friendly push button control, entirely removing the cumbersome and jolting foot pedal device of
old.

Phototherapy Light
Phototherapy is the most effective treatment for neonatal jaundice, also known as hyperbilirubinemia.
Neonatal jaundice is a very common complication found among newborn infants. Though minor incidents
need do not require active treatment, when severe, it can cause bilirubin encephalopathy, a condition that
may lead to handicap or even death.
While monitoring a case of bilirubin in a laboratory is necessary, it is also time consuming and distressing
for the baby. It may even result in severe infections.
Transfusion for severe neonatal jaundice is both tedious and expensive with high mobility and mortality
rates. It is also followed by prompt and marked bilirubin rebound.
As an alternative treatment, phototherapy has now largely replaced exchange transfusion. Although the
results are more gradual, phototherapy prolongs the reduction of bilirubin concentration.
The treatment’s efficiency is influenced by the infant’s gestational age, birth weight and postnatal age. In
most etiologies, based on the jaundice and also the spectral emission and intensity (dose) of the light, it
can control very severe cases of jaundice or a rapidly-rising bilirubin concentration, including severe
hemolysis.
Its relative freedom from complications, non-invasive nature, ease of use and overall convenience have
resulted in widespread acceptance and adoption in virtually all neonatal units.
The procedure’s double-array coverage enables comprehensive treatment, without having to physically
move or disturb the infant during treatment.
