■ Bio From Italian Heritage, the Brazilian-born designer learned how to sew with 3 YO, creating her first Barbie Collection by the age of six. She studied ballet at a prestigious Ballet conservatory until the age of 16. Isabelle found new excitement through the speed of skateboarding, becoming a contradicting public figure and one of the first professional female skateboarders in Brazil. She was one of the few females competing the first Female Skateboard World Cup in Brazil. She learned the craft of fashion design at SENAC and SENAI-CETIQT and later FIDM and FIT. And have since been fully dedicated to the craft of design and the art of fashion. Donola has mastered the craft of garment construction to develop her own technique _The "I.D. Technique" (which is a combination of Draping and patternmaking with geometry, and Abstractionism as a form of expression throughout the grain and bias of the textiles fibers). Before she came to New York to pursue the dream, she designed her first collection in Brazil, which was sold out within two weeks. She then made New York her home, launching a deconstructed and recycled T-shirt line in early 2004. Her work soon attracted local artists with the aim of self expression, which lead to a private clientele of artists and intellectuals worldwide leading her to cater to the High-end clientele both in New York and in Los Angeles. Isabelle Donola became Isabelle Donola NYC in 2009. She has sold her Collections to boutiques around New York and Los Angeles and Beverly Hills through her flagship store on the Melrose Triangle, selling limited edition RTW while designing her coveted couture dresses and bridal gowns to her private clients. Isabelle Donola NYC was the top 14 show by the Huffington Post on her official debut at Mercedes Benz NYFW in 2014. Her designs have been featured at various major publications and she has been endorsed my innumerous celebrities. She is also known as Costume Designer for award winning Film "Dark Amazon" Released in 2014 and Project Runway. And is a part of a permanent Exhibition in Washington DC at the MOB Museum. In 2015 Isabelle Donola has a TBI and Spinal injury, and was assured to never design again. She re-launched her brand during NYFW in Feb 2018 with an even more exclusive approach. And is now more than even active on bringing love and hope into the world.
