Online lessons Feedback – 17th Feb 2020 after lunch

27 out of 28 attended. Lesson started ontime however I was unable to film it.
Students understood instuctions well and started to work immediately after.
Some students had questions which were answered well. They were instructed
to fibish for homework

That was lesson for IG Econ. We tried to use the discuss room of Onenote but
it broke down a bit. I changed to use the demonstration function of onenote to
show notes to students. That went well. All students were there. No homework
for today.

1. What were the topics? - Review of Springs Holiday homework/ MCQs
and Answer session/ Peer Assessment of some selected questions?
2. What was the students’ involvement? – Students were called upon
individually to share their answers on various questions/ brainstorming
session/ Discussing the solution and why they think the answers are
correct. It was very interactive and successful.
3. Any feedback from the students? – Few students had problems with
their microphone at the beginning of the lesson but they were able to
resolve it as quick as possible. They were able to view my desktop and
follow instructions through. Some of the students submitted their
homework as instructed.
4. How could I make it better next time? – The students were strongly
advised to keep the one note browsers or app opened on their systems
at all times for easy access.
5. My suggestions/concerns/questions/challenges of this lesson? If
any- My only concern is that teachers should end their lessons on time
to afford the students the opportunity of getting ready for the next
teacher.

Still some technical problems for students with one note app. They are
posting screenshots to me in wechat to resolve.
For some, they are not yet familiar with how it works.
Slow pace
Unable to record skype conversations on a mac, I am looking for a 3rd
party app to resolve this.


