I work really hard as a teacher to keep up with all of the demands of my classroom, the school, and the
district. I have been using OneNote, a cloud based notebook, in our district’s Office 365 tenant to stay
more organized, to collaborate with my students and fellow teachers, and to make better use of the
technology that we have been provided.
Recently Microsoft announced the release of a FREE app for Office 365 that I believe will save me time
and boost my classroom efficiency. The only thing that it requires of you, or the tenant administrator, is
to install the app once for all teachers. I can do all the setup that I need to do through my OneDrive for
Business account so it doesn’t require SharePoint sites to be enabled. All of the instructions for

Below are just a few of the ways OneNote Class Notebook can benefit our students and teachers for you
to consider:

Time saver – teachers and students now have everything for their content and curriculum in one
location: homework, quizzes, exams, handouts, and more. It is a collaborative and individual
workspace as well as a great way to deliver content from multiple sources.

Student achievement – promotes student organization and global work habits, anytime/anywhere
access to learning materials and work space, and e-portfolio space, as well as, timely peer and
teacher feedback.

Ease of Use – OneNote is already a great tool but with this app I can easily add the students'
notebook in with the teacher notebook to allow for content delivery and a collaborative digital
space. Using this option, my students can work together while I coach and monitor information in
real-time.

E-learning resource – great way to empower teachers to use electronic resources in an organized
way that is highly customizable.
This tool will allow all teachers to make the best use of the district’s technology resources and I look
