THE ROLE OF CREATIVE LEARNING IN THE YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
Creative learning is a common thing that we see and hear almost everywhere. We know that it
will help to empowering us as the young generation. We also know that with creative learning, we as
the young generation can help our country becoming better in the future. But the problem is we do not
know how. Creative learning means a learning process in which the output of it is to motivate and bring
out the creativity of the learner. So what does the roles of creative learning, in empowering the youth
and help them to facing the future? The answer is that the role of creative learning is leading us to two
most important things in youth empowerment, creative thinking and creative act.
The first is creative thinking. Creative thinking means the levels of thinking in which a person is
able to create a new idea to solve a problem. Youth empowerment cannot be achieved if we as the
young generation still stuck in the conventional way of thinking. We need to think creatively, and
differently. Because by thinking about something creatively, we can find a new way to solve many
problem and even can get a better solutions to the already solved problems. The habit of creative
thinking will help us later in facing our future too. It will help us in deciding the best decision to our
country at the time we lead the country later, so that our country can compete with another country
with the higher rank.
The second is creative in act. It does not need a longer explanation about what creative act
means. When we already think about something, we have to act on it otherwise it will just be a useless
thinking. After we think about how to solve a problem creatively, we can start to do what we can. As the
young generations we cannot just wait until the ruler hear about our new creative idea, we have to start
doing. We do not have to solve the problem of our country yet, but we can solve the problem around us,
and it will make our self and helping our environment to becoming better. And of course, with the act
that we do, the future will be brighter.
From the explanation above, we can see that the creative learning is necessarily needed to
empowering us as the young generation and to face our future since it will lead us to two important
things, creative thinking and creative act. We have to start to think and act creatively in order to
discharging our duties as the young generation to make ourselves, our environment, and our country
being better and more steadily to face the future.
