What is the Scientific Revolution?
When European scientists began to use math and experiments to make
advances. And changed how understood they science and how they
searched for knowledge.
Before the Scientific Revolution,
what did people think about the
universe? Where did they get this
information?
People believed the Earth was the center of the universe, they got this
idea from Ptolemy.
What was Copernicus’ theory?
That the sun was the center of the universe.
How could this theory have gotten
him in trouble?
It disagreed with the churchÅ› teaching.

He used his telescope to prove Earth revolves around the sun.
