With the use of different measuring devices (meter stick and ruler), measure the following
items that you usually see inside the class room – Express your answers in INCH &
CENTIMETERS:
1. Height of the ARM CHAIR
2. Length & Height of the white board
3. Length & Height of the Platform
4. Length & Height of the Teacher’s Table
5. Height of the DOOR
Measure the following areas – Express your answers in METERS:
1. Distance from the 1st door to the 2nd door.
2. At the back area of the classroom measure the distance from one end to the other end.
NOTE: USE BOTH MEASURING DEVICES IN MEASURING THE ITEMS!
Answer the following Questions:
1. Is there a difference between meter stick and ruler in using for measuring? What is the
difference between the two?
2. Which of the following measuring device (meter stick or ruler) do you think that has more
accurate reading?
3. Which measuring device do you prefer using? Explain why.
4. What is the difference between Accuracy & Precision? Give an example.
