METEOR
A meteoroid is a small rocky or metallic body in outer space. Meteoroids are
significantly smaller than asteroids, and range in size from small grains to onemeter-wide objects.
While this meteoroids falls due to its aero dynamic heating it produces a heat of
light, this phenomenon is called meteor
Objects that are smaller than meteors are known as space dust or micro meteoroid.
It travels to the earth atmosphere with the speed of 20km/s.
These meteors usually occur in mesosphere i.e 76km to 100km from the earth
surface.
RADAR
RADAR : Radio detection and ranging or Radio direction and ranging.
Radar is used to find the range, direction, angle, velocity of the objects.
It can be used to detect aircraft, ships, spacecraft, guided missiles, motor
vehicles, weather formations, and terrain.
A radar system consists of a transmitter producing electromagnetic waves in
the radio or microwaves domain, a transmitting antenna, a receiving antenna and
a receiver and processor to determine properties of the object .
Radar works with principle of scattering of EM waves.
