1.4. Ensure Common Understanding
To have a common terminology, it is important to resolve the communication difficulties within
the diverse range of stakeholders. A glossary of terms can provide a simple but a valuable
solution to these issues.
Prototype: A first or preliminary version of a device from which other forms are developed
Enclosure: Structure consisting an area that has been enclosed for some purpose
Components: A part or element of a larger whole, especially a part of machine
PCB: Printed Circuit Board
Connectors: A device for keeping two parts of an electric circuit in contact
Rechargeable: (of a battery or a battery-operated device) able to have its electrical energy
restored by connection to a power supply.
Water-proof: Not allowing water to pass through.
Investors: A person or an organization that puts money with the expectation of achieving a
profit.
Designers: People who plan the look and workings of something prior to it being made.
