Sunday, January 06, 2019 Romans 1:8-12 New International Version (NIV) Paul’s Longing to Visit Rome 8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world. 9 God, whom I serve in my spirit in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you 10 in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God’s will the way may be opened for me to come to you. 11 I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— 12 that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith. Paul is an Apostle or called in original name Saul of Tarsus Five Characteristics Of A Servant Of God These characteristics were present in the life and ministry of Paul and are good indicators of any Christian’s spiritual health. Romans chapter 1:1-7 is the “greeting and salutations” 1. A Thankful Servant (Romans 1:8) “First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.” A devoted servant of the Lord will be sure to take time, to thank God before anything.. For this is a will of God. (1 Thess. 5:18). Give thanks in all circumstances; For unthankful servant leads a man away from Him.(Rom. 1:21). 2. A Prayerful Servant “For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;” (Rom. 1:9) For Paul was a man of prayer. If your thoughts or you’ve seen something to your neighbor badly or vice versa’ do not be a fool (tsismes in north, east, west and south for his or her,, negatively) we must don’t.. Commit it all to the lord with all your heart and soul through prayer , and let the lords power ruled for,,,. Sunday, January 06, 2019 3. A Submitted Servant or being serving not self-centered “Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey BY THE WILL OF GOD to come unto you.” (Rom. 1:10) Committing all the highest praise unto the lord Not the will as person but rather be upon the will of our Lord Jesus Christ We must submit all thing that we have done only to the lord “I am doing this for the Lord as it is His will.” 4. A Giving Servant/ A Giver Servant “For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;” (Rom. 1:11) Having the willingness to impart whatever the blessing that he has,, being selfless without asking in return.. having the instincts only to serve. Ex.. politician.. 5. A Humble Servant / not being a superior one.. “That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.” I am telling you this and also a lesson to myself and as a reminder of being a servant of God / unto this temple of God. Kindly ask ourselves brothers and sisters Do I’m still doing my part as a servant accordingly to your will Oh Lord?
