History ENIT is a national network was founded in 2011, ENIT was established through initiative by Dr. Khaled ElSaadany, Executive Manager of GITTC- Alexandria University in cooperation with US Department of Commerce/Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) and USAID. Location: The Egyptian Network for Innovation Technology was located in Alexandria University, Grants, Innovation and Technology Transfer Center, Alexandria. Coordinator: Dr. Khaled ElSaadany Mission: + Promote and facilitate the technologies & innovations for the benefit of the community & industry. + Ensure and strengthen the technology transfer in the higher education institutions in Egypt. + Enhance the cooperation between similar technology transfer bodies or organizations in Arab region and international technology transfer organizations. ENIT Objectives: (2) 3- Advise, consult and establish standards and guidelines, to assist the development of new technology transfer agencies in Egypt. 4- Facilitate links and communication between technology transfer agencies nationally and internationally. ENIT Objectives: (3) 5- Provide platform for information on technology transfer standards, good practices, and professional institutional and programs reviewers among member organizations. 6- Facilitate research in the field of technology transfer in higher education in the Egyptian universities. ENIT Objectives: (4) 7- Provide service advisor regarding the technology valuation and IP assistance. 8- Create a critical mass of Egyptian lawyers competent in technology transfer contracts, licensing and negotiation. ENIT Objectives: (5) 9- To facilitate the development of a working relationship between Academia and industry. 10- Commercialize, and transfer to the Egyptian business community, technologies developed in university laboratories. The workshop was based upon Egypt-specific case studies created by CLDP.
