The upper section of the basic 5000 lectern has a soffit, sloped dashboard control area, plastic laminate work surface and keyboard / mouse slide out shelf. The dashboard can be configured with cut outs for touch panel microphone, laptop interface panels etc. and the work surface can have an optional well for a monitor and/or touch panel. The lower section of the lectern is designed for equipment storage and may be configured with a document camera, adjustable shelves, rack rails or rack frame. Locking security cover doors and /or security panels on the presenter side and audience side of the lecterns protect equipment and provide service access to the equipment there in. Carefully positioned venting slots and grommets facilitate natural air convection. When necessary optional thermostatically controlled fans may be added. The lectern shall be constructed of (insert wood type) solid wood and matching veneer on a ply core, stained and finished to customer’s sample or OPTIONAL laminated with Wilsonart color# (_____) on a ply substrate. ¾” x ¾” solid wood corner posts shall be provided or OPTIONAL 1-½”x 1-½” posts or fluted columns to enhance durability and aesthetics of the lectern. The upper section of the lectern shall contain a soffit, sloped dashboard for control panels and switches (FBO), and a laminate work surface. The work surface shall have a ¾”x¾” solid wood front edge and the laminate shall be WilsonArt Pampas (or insert alternate laminate). OPTIONAL wells for monitor or touch panels can be provided as noted on the drawings. Beneath the work surface shall be a slide out keyboard/mouse shelf. The lower section of the lectern shall have storage space for electronic equipment mounted on adjustable shelves or OPTIONAL rack rails or rack frame. When applicable a divider partition for CPU storage and/or an OPTIONAL document camera drawer can be provided. Locking presenter-side 110° doors shall be provided or OPTIONAL 270° wrap around doors, pocket doors or keyless door/panels** as shown in the drawings. A locking audience side access door or OPTIONAL graphic panel shall be provided to facilitate service of the electronics within the lectern. A cut out for wire entry and venting slots should be carefully coordinated with the AV installer and where necessary a thermostatically controlled ventilation fan added. Adjustable furniture leveling feet shall be provided in each corner or OPTIONAL casters, pedestal or floor molding shall be provided as noted. * Contact Hogg shop application engineers for assistance on drawings **Keyless doors and panels have cut outs coordinated with controls on selected presentation equipment obviating the need for keys or opening of doors by the presenter and without jeopardizing the security of the equipment. Authorized personnel would have keys or tools to open doors or panels for removal of equipment for service.
