600871 Speed Control Switch
Installation Instructions
Application:
The 600871is a 115V and 230V Motor Control and is specifically designed for the 115 V DC or 230 V DC
Universal Motor (AC to DC Rectified motor) with motor tag current ratings no larger than 10 Amps.
Mounting: Screw holes in the enclosure flange or drill your own holes in the flange. Mount the control
upright with the wires coming out on the bottom. Do not mount the control flat on it's back.

motor wires (#5 and #6).

Motor
Motor wires #1, #2, #3, #4 are not used
when using the 600871 Speed Control.
The AC to DC rectifier function is inside
the speed control and these four wires
are not used. Insulate these with electrical
tape and secure these wires so they do
not hinder the reel drive mechansim.
You must use a Double Pole / Single
Throw momentary pushbutton switch.
When the pushbutton is pressed, the Orange
wire makes connection with the motor wire
providing 115 Volt DC to the motor and the
Yellow (5V signal) wire tells the controller to
soft start the motor. When the pushbutton is
released, the Orange wire is disconnected
from the motor wire allowing the reel to turn
freely and theYellow wire is disconnected
telling the controller to turn off the motor.
Circuit Protection - The installer must
provide the 12 AWG feed lines (hot leg
and neutral), protected by a 15 Amp
circuit breaker in the electrical service
panel. Do not use a ground fault breaker
for the motor controller circuit protection.
