SR115 115/230 Volt Speed Reduction Unit Rev: 9/19/09 Application: The SR115 is a Speed Reduction Control designed to reduce the motor speed by 50%. The SR115 is specifically designed for 115 Volt and 230 Universal ('Rectified DC motors); up to 10 Amps. The SR115 is a PWM control to assure slow speed motor torque. New Wiring Instructions: Enclosure Dimensions: 2.0" x 4.9" X 2.0" SR115 Speed Reduction Cntl NOTE: Motor direction can be changed by reversing these two wires with the two motor wires (#5 and #6). White (Neutral) Blue Black (Hot Leg) 115V DC Output to Motor Orange White (Neutral) Yellow Yellow Orange Double Pole / Single Throw Pushbutton On/Off Switch For a 115 V AC Input Black (Hot Leg) White (hot) For a 230 Volt AC Input Black (hot) The Yellows, Oranges, and Blue are wired Green to the same as above. Reel #5 #6 Motor Motor wires #1, #2, #3, #4 are not used when using the SR115 Speed Control. The AC to DC rectifier function is integrated in the speed reducer and these four wires are not required. There is no voltage or current in these 4 wires when the motor, or speed control, is operating. You may insulate these with electrical tape and secure these wires so they do not hinder the reel drive mechansim. You must use a Double Pole / Single Thow momentary pushbutton switch. When the pushbutton is pressed, the Orange wire makes connection with the motor wire providing 115 Volt DC to the motor and the Yellow (5V signal) wire tells the controller to soft start the motor. When the pushbutton is released, the Orange wire is disconnected from the motor wire allowing the reel to turn freely and the Yellow disconnect on the Yellow wire tells the controller to turn off the motor. If you do not want to wire up a DPST switch, you must puruchase the MD115S, with the on/off motor switching function. Circuit Protection - The installer must provide the 12 AWG feed lines (hot leg and neutral), protected by a 15 Amp circuit breaker in the electrical service panel. Do not use a ground fault breaker for the motor controller circuit protection. Warranty: The control must be sent in for analysis to determine if the 1 year is valid. Reason for falures have been not wiring per the directions and not adequate circuit breaker protection. We will repair the equipment without charge for materials and labor if it is determined to be a workmanship problem or faulty material. If it is determined that the cause of fail was due to mis-wiring, or not wiring per these instructions, we will provide a repair quote prior to repairing. www.qualitech.biz Qualitech, Inc.
