It is a centre of excellence and innovation in mouse genetics and functional genomics, offering cutting edge expertise in mammalian physiology and production of sophisticated mouse models of biological processes. The development of novel approaches to mouse genetic manipulation is opening up new opportunities for collaborations both within EMBL itself but also more widely with Italian research and clinical centres. Dynamic partnerships and participations across Europe based on our expertise in mouse research, developmental biology and neurobiology are integral parts of our ongoing discovery process spanning genetics, genomics, epigenetics, cell biology and pathology.
