Job training
We acknowledge our responsibility to our employees and customers
in the region and we want to make a significant long term contribution
to strengthening the economy of the region. This is why we initiated
a successful job training program for young people in 2004. In association with PFALZWERKE, our candidates receive a solid basis
for their future employment. A core aspect of our training concept
is the integration of candidates into the operations, which ensures
a direct practical application of the vocational knowledge gained: A
concept that has proven itself as our graduates have ranked among
the best over many years. We have been recognized, for example,
for outstanding performance in the field of vocational training by IHK
Pfalz (Chamber of Commerce).

Furthermore, we offer courses in cooperation with DHBW (Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University). The
Baden-Württemberg institution is the first university in Germany to combine theoretical studies at the university with
practical experience at a company. The key features of the dual program at DHBW are the concept of alternating
phases of theoretical and practical learning as well as the close cooperation between the university and its “Dual
Partners.” The company and social institutions are responsible for selecting the students, concluding a three-year
employment contract with them, and paying them each month throughout the course of study. The theoretical part
of the course is taught at one of the DHBW locations. The changing emphasis of the program between theory and
practice over three-month cycles provides the students not only with professional and scientific expertise, but also
the management and social skills required in the working world.
