CELT-HR
Compact Eyesafe Laser Transceiver - High Repetition
Overview
Technical Data
Thales has designed a new leading edge High
Repetition Rate Laser Rangefinder in response
for market demand to address new state-ofthe-art rangefinding applications.
Transmitter / Receiver
Laser type: Er : Glass.
Wavelength: 1535nm.
Pulse width: 7 +/- 2ns.
Beam divergence: 0.4 - 0.6mrad . 1
Receiver FOV: 1mrad.
Design and configuration
The CELT-HR Laser rangefinder is a discrete
stand-alone sensor that is particularly suited
to detection of fast-moving targets on Naval,
Ground and Air platforms. The CELT-HR laser
rangefinder benefits from reduced footprint,
high efficiency and reduced power consumption
compared with alternative laser designs.
Energy/Class Ratings
Output energy (single Pulse): <8mJ.
Average output energy (10Hz):<5mJ
Class rating: Class 3R.
Features of CELT-HR
• Fast acquisition time.
Environmental Specification
Temperature: -55 to +85°C storage.
Operation: -30 to +55°C operation.
Altitude: up to 10,000m.
Applicable Standards: All usual MIL-STDs
for shock,vibration, EMI, EMC etc.
• Small discrete, low-mass sensor.
Performance Specifications
• Enhanced range resolution and accuracy
Measurement Characteristics
Min/max range: 50 to 19995m. 2
Range resolution: 1m.
Range Accuracy: +/- 2m.
Discrimination: <25m.
Number of range events: 3 (First, Second, Last).
False alarm probability: <1%.
Pulse repetition frequency: 1-10Hz . 4
Extinction ratio: > -39dB.
• 10Hz continuous operation.
• Full performance from first pulse.
• No external cooling required.
• Multiple software capabilities to increase hit probability
• BIT facilities as standard
• High range performance (see graph)
Simplicity
With power and RS422 communications
applied through the MIL-C-38999 military
connector and CELT- HR being MIL-STD-1275B
compatible, operation of the CELT-HR is
simplicity itself.
