Reducing odor with Microban® antimicrobial protection
Warm, moist environments – such as shoes, sports equipment and apparel – provide favorable conditions for bacteria and developing odors.
Hot, sweaty gear quickly becomes moldy, bacteria-filled, stinky gear. It happens to everyone, but it doesn’t have to.
The Test
The Results
The internationally recognized JIS Z 2801 test was modified to
accommodate the foam matrix to compare untreated PORON
Cushioning Material samples to PORON Material samples treated
with Microban antimicrobial protection.
The results showed that after 18 to 24 hours, PORON Cushioning
Materials treated with Microban antimicrobial protection eliminated
99% of odor production, keeping materials fresher, longer.
