INSTALLATION GUIDE NI-MCT Rack Mount Kit To mount an NI-MCT chassis in an instrument rack, complete the following steps. Figure 1. Flat Head Screw Filler Panel 1. Remove the bottom feet and COA label plate (as required) from the NI-MCT chassis. 2. Remove the eight M4 × 8 mm button head screws from the back of each side of the chassis. You will use these screws in step 3. 3. Install the back mounting brackets onto each side of the chassis using the eight M4 × 8 mm button head screws that you removed in step 2. Tip You can recess the chassis in the instrument rack at .5 inch increments up to 4 inches by adjusting the placement of the mounting brackets. 4. Install the front mounting brackets onto each side of the chassis using the eight M4 × 8 mm button head screws supplied. 5. If you need to run wires through the front right side mounting bracket, install the wire grommet to protect the wire installation, otherwise install the filler panel with the 4-40 × 1/4 inch flathead screws supplied. 6. Install the chassis in the instrument rack using four screws (not supplied).
