Spiritual Birth/Sin/Sin is disobeying God/1 John 3:4
1. Create INTEREST in the subject: “What are we going to talk about?”
Can you make a short list of rules you follow at school or home? Do you try and follow these
rules? What happens if you forget or become unsure about these rules? How do you respond?
There will be times when we slip-up and have to go back and try again.
2. INVESTIGATE God’s Word: “What does the Bible say about it?”
Do you know what God says about this?
1 John 3: 4-5 says, “Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know
that He appeared so that He might take away our sins.”
3. Discuss personal IMPACT: “What difference will it make in my life?”
When we sin we reject Jesus and are not under His control…
There is nothing we can do to cleanse our sins. We need Jesus (Read Ephesians 2: 8-9)
As followers of Jesus we strive to let others see Him in us by our actions. When we fall short we
must repent from our sin and ask for forgiveness…
