Surge Protection Devices
The SPD II range of surge protectors are used for transient surge protection of single and multi-phase power
circuits at the main electrical panel. The SPD design is based on high-energy varistors (MOVs) equipped with
thermal disconnects and integral failure indicators. A remote signaling contact for disconnection indication is
standard on each unit. Typical applications include low voltage distribution or protection of industrial control
systems, equipment assemblies and devices. Units are rated as per UL1449 3rd Edition for USA and Canada.

u-remote Ethernet/IP Gateway Now Available
New!
EtherNet/IP™ is a widespread, real-time capable Industrial Ethernet fieldbus system.
Based on standard Ethernet technology such as TCP and UDP, in addition to the transmission of unicast
messages between two participants, this provides the possibility of sending I/O data via multicast cyclically
to multiple recipients.
The UR20-FBC-EIP from Weidmuller is a field bus coupler designed in accordance with IEC 61158 and is
an EtherNet/IP participant. With options for connecting up to 64 u-remote participants, it serves as the head
module for the u-remote system bus.
The coupler can be activated with a system-independent web server application via the USB service interface
or the Ethernet ports. All information such as diagnoses, status values and parameters can therefore be read
out. All connected inputs can also be simulated or outputs set. The system’s initial power supply is already
integrated in the field bus coupler. Power is supplied via two 4-pin connectors, separated into the input and
output current paths.
Since the EtherNet/IP products from Weidmuller make full use of all the latest technological possibilities, such
as diagnosis options, they actively support your application in the most important tasks – from engineering and
commissioning to fault diagnosis.
