General Information
In Asia, there is a lack of accurate musculoskeletal (MSK) MRI reporting and ultrasound
performance among general radiologists. Therefore, there is a need for training with emphasis on
the strengths and weaknesses of MSK MRI and ultrasound in day-to-day practice.
This intensive, hands-on course allows radiologists to report on basic MSK MRI and perform
screening and/or diagnostics ultrasound with at least 80% accuracy. Homework, together with a
reporting template, will be given at the end of each day. These 10 cases are specially chosen as
they show the pathology that is missed in common day to day reporting resulting in low accuracies.
The course will emphasise practical tips and pearls not found in textbooks. The 6 faculty consists of
well-established teachers and trainers from Asia, Australia and USA. Accurate diagnosis based on
clinical history, simple physical stress tests and imaging findings will be highlighted.
In addition to a worthwhile course, the location of the conference hotel at the heart of the golden
tourist beach area of Batu Ferringhi in Penang, will certainly make your trip more memorable. Just
step out of the hotel and you will be greeted by street shops selling clothes, bags, DVD's, branded
shoes and household ornamental items at bargain prices. The Penang night food is also world
famous. March is traditionally the sunniest time of the year in this part of Malaysia .
