Definitions
Retail or distribution environment refers to workplaces where the primary focus is on
customers purchasing goods and/or services.
Organisational procedures refer to instructions to staff on policy and procedures
which are formally documented, or generally accepted within the workplace.
Process loss refers to loss due to poor operating procedures.

criterion.

Policies and procedures relevant for prevention of process loss are described in
accordance with organisational procedures.

planning, consistency, identification of training needs, health and
safety, culture.
Element 2
Describe the application of organisational policies and procedures for prevention of

Performance criteria
2.1
Application of organisational policies and procedures for prevention of process
loss prevention is described for a specific situation.
Range
may include but is not limited to – recording, access, training,
monitoring, reporting, auditing, checking.
Please note
Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated
authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against
unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment.
Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register
credits from assessment against unit standards.
