TheFingerLakesPartnershipforRegionalInvasiveSpeciesManagement(FL-PRISM)isa
networkofpartnersin17countiesoftheFingerLakesregionofNewYorkandbrings
togethertheresourcesofadiverserangeoforganizationstoprevent,detect,control,
andmanageinvasivespecies;ultimatelyreducingtheirproliferationandimpacts.With
thecosttocontrolinvasivespecieswithintheUnitedStatesestimatedbetween$120B
and$137Bannually(Pimenteletal.2005,Runyonetal.2012),theFL-PRISMallowsfor
sharingandleveragingoflimitedresourceswithinthepartnershipwhilerepresentinga
highly-visibleprogramthatbuildscommunityawarenessandparticipation.
