What is WSQ?
The Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) is a national
credentialing system. It trains, develops, assesses and recognises
individuals for the key competencies that companies look for in potential
employees.
WSQ is based on national standards developed by WDA (Singapore
Workforce Development Agency) in collaboration with various industries
The WSQ system is designed to be a practical, accessible and
affordable launching pad for individuals to take charge of their own
careers and advancement. It is also a powerful business tool for
employers to access and maintain a skilled workforce as it enhances
their competitive edge and advancing their businesses.
Which WSQ Framework?
The Leadership People Management (LPM) Workforce Skills
Qualifications (WSQ) framework is designed to benchmark corporate
leadership capabilities, and provides a leadership development roadmap
for business leaders.
Enabling leaders and managers to keep up-to-date with the latest trends
and practices through structured and peer learning, it also allows them
to gain formal recognition of their competencies through modularised
competency programmes within a nationally recognised framework.

It will lead to what recognition?
WSQ Advanced Certificate in Team Leadership
Qualification Objectives:
Someone with this qualification will be able to apply and contextualize
leadership and people management skills and knowledge in a range of
work activities, most of which are complex and non-routine in a variety of
contexts.
The knowledge acquired is mainly procedural knowledge with elements
of abstraction and theory in leadership, people management and
managerial approaches.
They will be able to use a significant degree of judgement, engage in
some planning and allocation of resources, and guide others, although
general supervision will be required.
How to achieve?
To achieve a full qualification in WSQ Advanced Certificate in Team
Leadership, you need to complete 8 competency modules comprising of
6 Core and 2 Elective units.
The 2 electives may be taken from Level 2, 3 or 4 within the LPM WSQ
framework or other industry WSQ frameworks.

 2 day workshop
 1 written assessment – given 3 weeks to complete

Will the learner fail the assessment?
 The learner are assess whether they are competent or not yet. No
pass or fail

back into their workplace. We will give our very best to help the
learner but the finally result will depend on the learner’s willingness
to learn and apply.

400% tax deductions/allowances or 60% cash payout under the
Productivity and Innovation Credit (PIC) scheme.
For Self Sponsored:
You will have to apply for training allowance at your nearest WDA
Career Centre at the Community Development Councils (CDCs) up to 30
days after course starts.
Alternatively, you may also apply for funding at the five Self-Help Groups
and NTUC if the course is supported by them and you meet their criteria.







Registration Identification Card (NRIC) and any of the following
documents to demonstrate your eligibility for WTS funding:

WTS notification letter
Workfare Income Supplement (WIS) payout notification letter
Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) tax notification letter
SingPost receipt for CPF income declaration
Any 1 of your last 3 months’ payslips
Employment letter / contract dated not more than 3 months before
course registration
