TEC designed the necessary modifications to traffic signals and also designed the lighting for the relocated segment. TEC also served as construction consultant. GLENDALE-MILFORD ROAD & US 42 TRAFFIC SIGNALS – VILLAGE OF EVENDALE, OHIO CLIENT REFERENCE: BILL MECHLEY, EVENDALE SIGNAL OPERATOR, 513.563.2247 TEC prepared the necessary studies, construction drawings and specifications for the upgrade and installation of a closed-loop traffic signal system in the Village of Evendale. The project consisted of 14 intersections with fiber optic interconnect and four incident management cameras. We assisted Evendale in obtaining a $2.8 million dollar CMAQ Grant for project funding. CLOSED LOOP TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM OPERATIONS – CITY OF SPRINGDALE, OHIO CLIENT REFERENCE: DERRICK PARHAM, CITY ADMINISTRATOR, 513.346.5700 Since 1997, TEC has provided real-time operations services for over 30 traffic signals and 4 closed loop traffic signal systems in the City of Springdale, Ohio. A control center located within TEC allows Traffic Engineers to monitor traffic during peak hours and adjust signal timing plans remotely as needed to reduce traffic congestion and improve level of service. STATE ROUTE 125 SIGNAL RETIMING – ODOT CENTRAL OFFICE CLIENT REFERENCE: MICHELLE MAY, HIGHWAY SAFETY PROGRAM MANAGER, 614.644.8309 This signal retiming project was performed for 20 signalized intersections along SR 125, a targeted area for traffic flow improvements and capacity increases. TEC provided travel time studies; equipment inspection; modeling and timing plans; optimized signal timing and adjustment (via Synchro technology); and recommendations of future signal timing based on geometry and projected volumes.
