NMF Ionic Friction Reducer
These electrical forces behave much like magnetism but act upon only particles that
are very close together (unlike magnets that broadcast force). When one metal
surface has a positive charge (less electrons) and the other has a negative charge
(more electrons), the two metal surfaces are attracted together in friction. When
the opposite charges are brought close together, they produce a strong attracting
force, which tries to squeeze the surfaces together. On the microscopic scale, this
attractive force can become very intense, bending even metal. This atomic
attraction between molecules can greatly increase the effort required to move
charged surfaces against each other. This is the natural frictional state -- the
problem to be overcome.
Now, what happens when the electrical charge in both metal surfaces are the same?
The metal surfaces repel each other, opposing contact and reducing friction. How
can both metal surfaces become same charged? By adding electrons to the atoms in
both surfaces. This is how NMF directly reduces the friction between moving parts;
it causes all of the moving surfaces to become negatively charged (with surplus
electrons) so that all of the parts repel each other on the atomic scale, reducing
contact friction.
This is not the only way that NMF improves efficiency and reduces wear. Another
important phenomenon that NMF addresses is the accumulation of wear particles
and debris.
Normally, the opposite charges in the wear particles (and debris) cause them to
attract to each other and also to the moving parts. This atomic attraction causes
wear particles to build up and "snowball" into larger and larger abrasive clusters,
further increasing wear. NMF prevents this by causing all of the parts and wear
particles to have the same electrical charge (negative), so the wear particles repel
each other and do not accumulate together -- they become isolated, suspended in
the oil, and are removed by the filter or come out cleanly during an oil change. This
is how NMF cleans parts.

Questions and Answers
Q: Is NMF safe to use?
A: Yes. NMF contains no solid particles, leaves no residue, and contains an acid
scavenger which prevents corrosion. NMF is safe for even automatic transmissions
and motorcycle wet clutches. It will not cause slippage.
CAUTION: new engines require friction for proper piston ring seating;
please apply NMF after the break-in period.
Q: How does NMF work?
A: NMF employs the power of electrical repelling.
Q: If NMF is so good, why am I only now hearing about it?
All materials carry an electrical charge. These charges come in the form of electrons
and protons. Protons are at the center of each atom while electrons orbit the atom.
These charged sub-atomic particles create electrical forces between each other.
These forces can be repellant or attractive. LIKE charges repel, OPPOSITE charges
attract. Protons have a positive charge while electrons have a negative charge.
A: The marketing effort is young. From 1998-2013 mostly truckers used NMF
through only word-of-mouth advertising. Our family plan was for me to market
NMF after my military service. After 31 years on active duty, I transitioned to
civilian life in 2014 and we are now marketing.

Recording Data
Prior to applying NMF, please make note, without NMF, of baseline temperatures
and performance factors (such as pulling power, vibration level, responsiveness,
shifting smoothness, ride smoothness, fuel efficiency, oil longevity, etc.).
The
back of this pamphlet has a place for recording data. Having these numbers and
anecdotal information will help you compare before-and-after results.
Q: What noticeable differences can I expect with NMF?
A: The following benefits should be noticeable on all vehicles:
- Smoother Engine: this is more pronounced in older diesel engines, less so in
newer diesel engines and gasoline/alcohol engines. It should be quite evident in
motorcycles, ATVs, and snowmobiles.
- Clean Engine: If you do a before-and-after engine inspection, you will find that
after a few hundred miles of running NMF, your engine is very clean and there is no
residue. If you do an oil analysis at the regular oil change interval, you will find your
oil to be dirtier after applying NMF the first time, as NMF has cleaned your engine.
- Extended Oil Life: If you use NMF, change your oil and filter, re-apply NMF to
the engine, and at the normal oil change interval again conduct oil analysis, your
results should indicate your oil is much cleaner than normal.
- Clean Injectors: After using NMF in your fuel for a few hundred miles, you will
find your injectors to be very clean.
2. Measure vibration: You can use a vibration meter on a smart phone to
observe the reduction.
This benefit is especially apparent on motorcycles,
lawnmowers, weedwhackers, and chainsaws.
3. Measure noise level: You can observe noise reduction with a sound meter.
4. Measure blow-by: Blow-by can be caused by mechanical failure (worn out
pistons or cylinders) and excessive vibration. If your engine is healthy and still
experiencing blow-by, chances are that excessive vibration is allowing unburnt
fuel to get past the gap between the rings and the cylinder. In that case, NMF
will noticeably reduce blow-by.
5. Measure oil longevity: More information is below.
6. Measure horsepower: Climb a difficult hill without NMF. Then treat the truck
with NMF and go up the same hill again. It should feel more powerful. Many
truckers report not having to downshift as much.
7. Compete NMF head-to-head with any product.
8. Measure fuel economy: For fully-treated semi trucks I offer a fuel savings
or money-back guarantee (http://gonmf.com/vehiclefleets.aspx). Many factors
affect fuel economy, such as vehicle type and condition, workload, driving
conditions, and driver habits. Due to those variables, for vehicles other than
semi trucks I cannot make a blanket statement in regards to fuel efficiency.
Studies are ongoing, and I will be thankful for your feedback.
Improved Throttle Response should be apparent on motorcycles, snowmobiles,
small engines, and 2-strokes.
Wear Reduction, evidenced primarily by heat reduction is clearly noticeable under
stressful workloads such as heavy hauling and racing. However, it may not be
readily apparent under low to average workloads, such as commuting around town
or easy highway miles.
Q: What if I don’t get the advertised results?
A: You put hard-earned dollars into NMF.
following guarantees:
Q: How can I personally verify that NMF works?
A: Measure factors relevant to friction reduction. For example,
1. Measure heat: The benefits of friction reduction increase dramatically as
workload increases, and this is where NMF shines. Under strenuous workloads
such as heavy hauling or racing, with NMF in areas such as the engine,
transmission, differentials, radiator, and hubs, you should see significant
temperature drops below normal for that level of work.
Your purchase comes with the
(1) NMF reduces wear and heat to your satisfaction or money back
(2) NMF cleans the engine to your satisfaction or money back
(3) If used in fuel, NMF cleans the injectors to your satisfaction or money back
(4) Fully-treated semi truck only — NMF improves fuel efficiency or money back
(5) On test ASTM D4172 NMF improves the wear resistance of whatever oil you
use by at least 10% or we’ll pay your laboratory fees.
It is rare to hear that NMF has not performed as expected. If this happens with
you, please just tell me and we’ll process your refund. I will be thankful for
whatever information you can share such as vehicle type and condition, workload,
and the oil you use. This information is unrelated to your refund. It is to help
my team stay abreast of customers’ results under various conditions and to
consider why in your case the benefits of NMF weren’t apparent.

- Colloidal suspension attempts to coat surfaces with solid particles suspended
in an oil or grease carrier. The particles are usually made of a substance harder
than the metals in the machine, such as graphite, molybdenum disulfide, or
Teflon. This method can result in residue that clogs filters and valves. Most
harmful is that metal particles and hydrocarbon residue stick to the solid
particles, creating clusters of abrasive grit which wear away at engine parts.
Q: What are independent testing results?
A: ASTM D4172 is the standard measurement of friction reduction trusted by
SAE engineers. Petro Lubricant Labs of Lafayette New Jersey conducted ASTM
D4172 on Shell Rotella T 15W40 without and with NMF. NMF improved the wearresistance performance of Rotella T by 22% and reduced the friction co-efficient
by 36.6%. We are not aware of another product in the transportation industry
that comes close to that level of friction reduction. I guarantee NMF will improve
the wear resistance of whatever oil you use by at least 10%.
Q: Do you have special knowledge about friction that the rest of the
world doesn’t?
A: Probably not. It is well-known that the cause of friction is a bonding electrical
relationship. What is unique about NMF is that this knowledge is used in the
approach to solving the problem of friction.
From a manufacturing perspective, there are two possible approaches to solving
a problem. One is to produce a product that treats only the symptoms. The other
is to make something, such as NMF, that removes the root cause of the problem.
An analogy for the friction problem is how the pharmaceutical industry addresses
the problem of the common cold. The profitable approach for companies has
been to produce medicines which reduce symptoms but don’t actually kill the
cold virus. Maybe the reason we can’t buy a real cold cure is because
manufacturers aren't investing in the required research and development. In
regards to automotive friction, traditional additives take the approach of the
various cold medicines in merely attempting to cover the symptoms of the
problem. Unlike NMF, these products employ continuous coating or colloidal
suspension.
- Continuous coating employs a thick liquid to continuously recoat surfaces
with a lubricant film in an attempt to prevent metal-to-metal contact. Heat
causes the suspension to thin out and lose its effectiveness, beginning a cycle of
more heat, friction, wear, and energy loss.

Q: Why put NMF in the fuel?
A: Two reasons. First is the above-mentioned cleaning of injectors. Second is
that when fuel is thrust through the small opening in the injector static electricity
is generated that causes fuel to want to cling together into large droplets that
burn less efficiently. By removing the static electricity, a finer mist is produced
for an optimal oxygen-fuel ratio and clean burn.
Q: How long is NMF effective?
A: For as long as the fluid is not changed. For example, if you treat the
transmission, the defrictionization is permanent until you change the
transmission fluid. The same goes for engine oil, gear oil, hub grease, etc.
When you top off your oil, re-add 1 oz of NMF per quart of oil topped-off.
* NMF is sold globally. Regulations vary from country to country. Please note
that NMF has not been approved by the U.S. government as a fuel additive.

Q: How is NMF different from an oil stabilizer or motor-coating product?
A: Completely different. An oil stabilizer is a long-chain type hydrocarbon liquid
with a tangled molecular structure. In other words, an oil stabilizer is attracted to
itself. While the molecules of oil stabilizers and motor-coating products cling,
NMF molecules repel. Indeed, eliminating clinging is exactly how NMF prevents
wear.
A principle behind NMF is that motor-coating an engine is unhealthy because it
traps hydrocarbon residue from combustion to the engine. Static electricity draws
hydrocarbons and metal particulates together into clusters of abrasive grit which
continually grow and scrape metal off the engine. That "sandpaper" action from
motor-coating causes an engine to wear out faster than necessary. NMF, on the
other hand, prevents that kind of damage.
Q: Why put NMF in the radiator?
A: Again, two reasons. First, there is naturally a lot of electrical activity in a
radiator, causing mineral deposits to cling to the radiator and make it less
efficient. NMF charges mineral deposits the same as the radiator so they are
repelled away from it and suspended in the coolant, enabling the radiator to
function more efficiently.
Second, without NMF, fluids tend to develop a static electric relationship with
solid objects they flow against, slowing down motion. By eliminating static
electricity NMF enables engine coolant to flow more readily without a frictional
relationship with the radiator itself, thus facilitating thermal transfer.
Q: You say NMF cleans parts. How does that happen?
Q: How does NMF affect oil life?
A: Without NMF, static electricity causes contaminants to cling to vehicle
parts (engine, radiator, transmission, fuel injectors, etc.). NMF same-charges
contaminants and parts so the contaminants are repelled away from metal and
suspended in the base lubricant. With NMF, for the first time, you will get a truly
clean lubricant change.
A: NMF makes any conventional or synthetic oil last longer, and extended oil
change intervals are possible. For example, for a fully-treated semi truck,
conventional oil should be healthier at 40,000 miles with NMF than it would be at
10,000 miles without NMF. Just change the oil filter at 15,000 and 30,000 miles
(http://gonmf.com/testing-oilanalysis.aspx).

Q: Can I get free NMF?
Q: How does NMF produce engine efficiency?
When shafts rotate in bearings, the frictional relationship between the shaft and
the bearings creates tiny vibrations (harmonic oscillations) that resonate and
travel along the crankshaft. When flywheels and harmonic balancers are spinning,
tremendous gyroscopic forces are generated. If you have ever held a spinning
bicycle wheel in your hand, you can recall how it fights against any input you
apply to the wheel. When a harmonic oscillation travels on the crank, it will be
responded to by the flywheel and balancer alike. When the spinning gyroscopes
respond to the vibrations, the result is an orbital twisting torque that is fed back
into the engine. The orbital motion amplifies the vibration and rattles the whole
engine, cylinders included.
This rattling leads to enlargement and wear of Babbitt or roller-type bearings.
When pistons are sliding in the vibrating cylinder, the piston is peened by the
cylinder; all of this wastes energy and creates wear. The electromagnetic field
(EMF) causes carbon contaminates to unite and form into abrasive clusters that
wear on parts and generate other particles that can be found in an oil sample.
When drive gears move against each other, the friction creates kinetic
excitement that leads to expansion and tightness of gears. The tighter they get,
the hotter they become -- which makes them even tighter. A lubricant (slippery
product or an engine-coating substance) will not stop these damaging side
effects of friction because lubricants do not address the cause of the friction.
NMF is not slippery and it doesn't coat your parts with anything. Instead, it is an
electrically-excitable molecule that responds to the frictional field by generating
free electrons into the compartment, causing all of the parts and wear particles
to have the same polarity. Consequently, there is no longer a bonding
relationship between the parts, and there is no more source of harmonic
oscillations in your crank bearings. When these vibrations are gone, the
gyroscopes are no longer responding, and the orbital twisting forces go away;
now the forces become perfectly circular.
So, here's what this means for a truck engine. It means removal of thousands of
pounds of vibrational forces, longer bearing life, reduction of polishing wear,
quicker engine response, and cooler gears that move more easily with less wear.
A: Yes! Without and with NMF, please measure something friction related (such
as heat, vibration, oil longevity, etc.) and report your findings in a video. No
need for fancy gear. A steadily-held cell phone is fine. Just introduce yourself
and your vehicle and speak truthfully. No need to edit out your bloopers. Just
send us what you have via www.wetransfer.com (We will trim out the bloopers
and let you approve the video.) We are grateful when NMF users send us videos,
and to express our appreciation we send a free bottle of NMF.
Q: I race. Can I get sponsored?
A: Sure can! We sponsor racers around the world, from famous teams down to
the little kid next door with a kart. So that all testimonials about NMF are
sincere and not influenced by money or material gain, we do not pay sponsored
teams. We provide free NMF, T-shirts, hats, uniform patches, car decals, swag,
etc. We’ll also make you a promotional video about your racing exploits.
To be eligible, a racer will have used NMF and written a product review. All we
ask of our sponsored teams is to share their results in a video and treat race fans
with respect and appreciation.
Again, thank you. I look forward to hearing from you.
