Highway Addressable Remote Transducer (HART) is a communication technology that allows digital information to be carried on the same wires as a field device 4-20 ma current loop signal. The HART data consists of additional process data as well as field device data that can be used to configure, monitor and maintain the field device: Available data: Device identification – tag, revision info, serial number, etc. Calibration data Multiple process variables Status + diagnostics Info Analog Signal De Facto Standard - approximately 30 million installed nodes Copyright © 2012 Rockwell Automation, Inc.
