University Classroom Technology Standard
DigitalMedia Videoconferencing (DM-VC)
The DM-VC standard is intended to be deployed in videoconferencing classrooms. Design work on this was done in
collaboration with the Collaborative Video Technologies department in February 2010. The classroom provides both
SD and 720p HD videoconferencing capabilities. This standard also maintains all the functionality of a DM-Baseline
classroom when it is not being used for videoconferencing.
The DM-VC Standard provides the following functionality:
The DM-VC Standard uses the following major components:
· Installed Computer
· Document Camera
· DVD/VHS Player
· Auxiliary VGA Connection
· Auxiliary HDMI Connection
· Auxiliary Composite Video Connection
· Duplicate (Dual in Videoconferences) Projection (1280 x 720, 16:9
Widescreen)
· Monitor for Instructor Source Viewing
· Videoconferencing including student and instructor microphones
and cameras
· LCD Monitors on the rear wall to mirror content for instructor
· LCD Monitor on lectern for instructor camera confidence monitor
· Biamp Nexia CS Digital Sound Processor
· Crestron DM-MD16X16 DigitalMedia Switcher
· Crestron QM-AMP3X80MM Amplifier
· Crestron TPS-6 Touchpanel
· Epson 1925w Projector
· Shure MX392/O, ULXS24/58, ULXS14/93 Microphones
· Sony EVI-HD3V 720p Camera
· Tandberg Audioscience Microphone
· Tandberg C40 Codec
