University Classroom Technology Standard DigitalMedia Recording (DM-TREC) The DM-TREC standard is intended to be deployed where there is a need for recording classroom activities. This standard was designed to replace existing VHS recording systems previously used in Innovation 135 & 137 for COMM 100 classes. The DM-TREC standard is based on the videoconferencing classroom standard and uses the Tandberg Content Server to record classroom activities. This standard also maintains all the functionality of a DM-Baseline classroom when it is not being used for recording. The DM-TREC Standard provides the following functionality: The DM-TREC Standard uses the following major components: · Installed Computer · Document Camera · DVD/VHS Player · Auxiliary VGA Connection · Auxiliary HDMI Connection · Auxiliary Composite Video Connection · Single Projection (1280 x 720, 16:9 Widescreen) · Monitor for Instructor Source Viewing · Recording equipment including microphones and a single camera aimed at the front of the classroom · LCD Monitor on lectern for camera confidence monitor · Biamp Nexia CS Digital Sound Processor · Crestron DM-MD16X16 DigitalMedia Switcher · Crestron QM-AMP3X80MM Amplifier · Crestron TPS-6 Touchpanel · Epson 1925w Projector · Shure MX392/O, ULXS24/58, ULXS14/93 Microphones · Sony EVI-HD3V 720p Camera · Tandberg C40 Codec 3 · Wolfvision VZ8-Lite Document Camera 8 7 6 5 H 4 3 (2) Shure ULXS4 in UA507 2 Middle Atlantic RSH4A2SW JVC DRMV80B 3 Middle Atlantic EB-1 Middle Atlantic EB-1 G 3 G 5 Biamp Nexia CS 4 Middle Atlantic EB-4 6 Middle Atlantic EB-1 5 7 Crestron CP2E 6 8 Crestron ST-COM in ST-RMK 7 F 9 Middle Atlantic EB-1 8 Middle Atlantic EB-4 10 Tandberg C40 9 E JVC DR-MV80B in 4 2 F 1 H 1 1 2 11 Middle Atlantic EB-1 12 10 E 13 11 Middle Atlantic EB-5 14 12 15 Crestron DM-MD16X16 13 D D 16 14 Crestron QM-AMP3X80MM 17 15 APC Smart-UPS SC 450VA 18 16 16U & 18U Racks in the Lectern C C PC in Holder next to rack in lectern Network switch rear racked B B Copyright © 2011 George Mason University DRAWING # PROJECT DM-TREC-Rack DRAWN BY MATTHEW SILVERMAN A DM-TREC Rack Elevation REVISED 2/28/2011 A PAGE 2 OF 4 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 Crestron DM-MD16X16 DVI Extron CPM-104 in SMB104 DM 1 DVI 2 DMC-DVI DM 2 VGA 3 DMC-DVI DM 3 Crestron DM-RMC-100 DigitalMedia 4 HDMI to DVI HDMI (Analog Audio) 5 5 DMC-HD HDMI 6 DMC-HD HDMI (Analog Audio) 6 DMC-HD HDMI (Analog Audio) 7 HDMI HDMI (Analog Audio) 8 HDMI to DVI 7 8 Analog Audio DigitalMedia 9 DMC-CAT 10 D 11 Camera (HDMI 1) Input Tandberg C40 Content (DVI 3) Input 12 13 Crestron QM-AMP3X80MM DM16x16 Out 5 L 1 1 L L DM16x16 Out 5 R 2 2 R R Shure WL93 Shure ULX4S 3 3 70 V Shure SM58 Shure ULX4S 4 4 Mic Mix Shure MX392/O 5 5 13 6 14 E Biamp Nexia CS 11 12 F Tandberg C40 9 10 C Totevision LCD-703HDX HDMI to DVI E Crestron DM-TX1-1G Dell E2010H To Nexia Output DM Input DMC-VID-RCA-A HDMI HDMI Monitor 1 (HDMI 1) Output 4 Output RCA Tandberg C40 DVI to HDMI H G JVC DR-MV80B Sony EVIHD3V Epson 1925W HDMI Input F DMC-DVI Analog Audio Wolfvision VZ8-Lite3 G 1 DMCO-2233 PC H L Klipsch CA525-T R Klipsch CA525-T D 70 V Tandberg C40 Mic 1 C 6 Stereo Mixed to Mono Tandberg C40 Line 1 14 7 15 15 8 B B 16 16 Tandberg C40 Left (1) Output 9 Tandberg C40 Right (2) Output 10 Copyright © 2011 George Mason University DRAWING # PROJECT DM-TREC-Content DRAWN BY DM-TREC Content Signal Flow MATTHEW SILVERMAN A REVISED 2/28/2011 A PAGE 3 OF 4 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 Crestron DM-MD16X16 1 DMC-DVI DM 1 Wolfvision VZ8-Lite3 2 DMC-DVI DM 2 3 DMC-DVI DM 3 USB USB PC H Crestron DM-RMC-100 DigitalMedia RS-232 Epson 1925W Ethernet H G 5 6 6 DMC-HD HDMI (Analog Audio) 7 DMC-HD HDMI (Analog Audio) 7 HDMI (Analog Audio) 8 8 Crestron DM-TX1-1G DigitalMedia 9 DMC-CAT 10 Cresnet (Power via Cresnet) Cresnet C Crestron TPS-6X-IMCW Ethernet Crestron TPS-6 11 12 12 13 13 GMU AV Network 14 1 L 2 2 R 3 3 70 V 4 4 5 5 L R D 70 V C 6 7 15 15 8 Ethernet Crestron CP2E B 9 16 RS-232 Cresnet RS-232 RS-232 (Network from dedicated network jack on VC VLAN) QM-AMP3X80MM 14 16 A E Crestron 1 6 F Cresnet CP2E Biamp Nexia CS 10 11 Crestron ST-COM Tandberg C40 Ethernet 9 Totevision LCD-703HDX RS-232 CP2E Switch Cisco SF302-08P Network Switch B HDMI (Analog Audio) Output D DMC-HD 4 Input RS-232 Sony EVIHD3V 5 DM IR E One-Way RS-232 (IR) JVC DR-MV80B DMC-VID-RCA-A Output F 4 Input Extron CPM-104 in SMB104 DMCO-2233 G 10 Copyright © 2011 George Mason University DRAWING # Ethernet Totevision APC Smart-UPS SC 450VA PROJECT DM-TREC-Control DRAWN BY MATTHEW SILVERMAN REVISED Nexia QM-AMP3X80MM DM-TREC Control Signal Flow 2/28/2011 A PAGE 4 OF 4 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1
