University Classroom Technology Standard
DigitalMedia Recording (DM-TREC)
The DM-TREC standard is intended to be deployed where there is a need for recording classroom activities. This
standard was designed to replace existing VHS recording systems previously used in Innovation 135 & 137 for COMM
100 classes. The DM-TREC standard is based on the videoconferencing classroom standard and uses the Tandberg
Content Server to record classroom activities. This standard also maintains all the functionality of a DM-Baseline
classroom when it is not being used for recording.
The DM-TREC Standard provides the following functionality:
The DM-TREC Standard uses the following major components:
· Installed Computer
· Document Camera
· DVD/VHS Player
· Auxiliary VGA Connection
· Auxiliary HDMI Connection
· Auxiliary Composite Video Connection
· Single Projection (1280 x 720, 16:9 Widescreen)
· Monitor for Instructor Source Viewing
· Recording equipment including microphones and a single camera
aimed at the front of the classroom
· LCD Monitor on lectern for camera confidence monitor
· Biamp Nexia CS Digital Sound Processor
· Crestron DM-MD16X16 DigitalMedia Switcher
· Crestron QM-AMP3X80MM Amplifier
· Crestron TPS-6 Touchpanel
· Epson 1925w Projector
· Shure MX392/O, ULXS24/58, ULXS14/93 Microphones
· Sony EVI-HD3V 720p Camera
· Tandberg C40 Codec
