President & Founder
Since founding NMG, Mr. Nichols has been fundamental in identifying, negotiating and closing
eleven acquisitions worth over $1 billion, and
launching three start-ups worth $750 million. Mr.
Nichols provides laboratory planning strategy and
implementation services for a number of hospital
systems, independent laboratory, biotechnology
and managed care clients. He has conducted
numerous industry seminar presentations and has
frequently been quoted in The New York Times, The
Wall Street Journal and other leading publications.
SCOTT ALLOCCO
Mr. Allocco has extensive experience in state and
federal laboratory regulatory compliance and managed care contracting. He advises clients to provide
strategic public affairs leadership, create new business opportunities and expand into new markets
while utilizing his knowledge of both private and
government payer systems to maximize coverage
and reimbursement.

ROBERT DECRESCE, MD, MBA, MPH
Dr. DeCresce possesses extensive experience in all
aspects of laboratory operations as a pathologist.
He has also published extensively on laboratory
automation, workflow, and laboratory economics.
He has served on the editorial boards of Laboratory
Medicine, Clinical Laboratory Management Review,
Human Pathology, Medical Laboratory Observer,
Physician Office Laboratory Advisor and CAP

MARK EPPLY, CPA, MBA
Mr. Epply has a strong background in the financial
aspects of the clinical and anatomic laboratory
industry. He was previously the Chief Financial
Officer of PathLab, Inc. where he was responsible
for the company’s financial management, budgeting
and financial reporting and analysis.
THOMAS HIRSCH, MBA
Mr. Hirsch has an extensive background in consulting,
financial management, and operations of hospital
and independent laboratories. Mr. Hirsch has been
an industry leader working with institutions and
developing innovative solutions to enhance lab performance for thirty years
HAROLD KISNER, PhD, MBA
Dr. Kisner has extensive experience in the technical
and operational aspects of clinical and anatomic
esoteric laboratories. Dr. Kisner is a nationally recognized expert in instrument selection, workflow
design and optimization, and laboratory automation.
He also consults with several in-vitro diagnostic
companies, serves on several scientific advisory
boards, and advises private equity firms on investment in the diagnostics sector.
DREA LANGSTON, MBA
Ms. Langston has hands on knowledge and experience
in laboratory field service, customer service operations
and marketing. She possesses an innate understanding
of meaningful use criteria and connectivity solutions
for enhancing customer relations.
ROBERT LEWIS
Mr. Lewis is a laboratory operations expert with
extensive experience in management and finance.
Mr. Lewis has held several C-Level positions at various
laboratory and healthcare organizations and is an
expert in enhancing profitability, organization structure
and laboratory design. He also serves on committees
at the American Association of Clinical Chemistry
(AACC) and the Medical Group Management
Association.
MIKE MCNULTY
Mr. McNulty is a senior diagnostics executive possessing strategic expertise in business development
and laboratory operations. He is also experienced in
laboratory in-vitro diagnostics development and
commercialization. Mr. McNulty has held numerous
senior positions at large independent laboratories
and Board of Director positions.
MIKE NAPOLITANO, MPA
Mr. Napolitano has lab experience across multi-site
operations, contract negotiations, process improvement and interim laboratory management. He has
held executive positions at a number of laboratories
and has over 25 years of experience in leading both
National and Regional laboratory operations.
MARILYN OWENS, PhD, MBA
Dr. Owens has extensive experience in esoteric and
anatomic pathology reference laboratory operations.
Dr. Owens is an expert in developing and establishing
flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, image
analysis, cytogenetics, infectious disease and
molecular genetics laboratories. Dr. Owens is well
known for technology transfer, innovative new
products and product launch skills. She is an expert
in next generation sequencing test development
and strategy.
LOUISE PELTIER
Ms. Peltier is a laboratory executive with extensive
experience in regulatory affairs including direct
agency interactions in the US, Canada and EU. She
has experience in developing regulatory strategy at
all development stages for in-vitro diagnostic, therapeutic biologics and new chemical entities and
administration of regulatory compliance programs.
KURT ROGERS, CPA, MBA
Mr. Rogers is a senior financial laboratory executive
with expertise in financial modeling, reporting,
budgeting, valuations, operations cost improvement,
benchmarking and due diligence activities. He has
served in senior executive positions at several
national laboratories where he cultivated growth in
partnership and outreach revenues.
WAYNE WECKSLER, PhD, MBA
Dr. Wecksler has developed immunochemistry and
therapeutic drug monitoring tests. Upon leaving research
and development he moved into laboratory operations
management at the world’s largest esoteric laboratory.
Dr. Wecksler is currently serving as the NMG General
Manager of the largest clinical laboratory between
San Francisco and Los Angeles, California.
SONNY VARADAN, MBA, PMP
Mr. Varadan possesses a strong software design and
development background in healthcare infrastructure
and financial applications environments. He has
previously served as the Chief Information Officer
at the largest network of outreach clinical laboratories
in the United States. He is a highly creative, organized
and analytical consultant with proven capabilities in
IT led laboratory strategy. Key skills include strategic
planning, organizational design, operations, performance audits and project management.
