Improvision Needed a Licensing Solution with Options
Improvision, a company providing scientific imaging systems for cell biologists, was looking
for a flexible, hardware-based software protection system that supported USB.

customers were properly licensed, without causing inconvenience or undue restriction.
Aladdin HASP for Every Need
Aladdin's HASP provided both the flexibility and security Improvision needed. With HASP,
the Improvision software development team benefited from multi-platform support,
including Mac OS X, Windows 32, Windows x64 and Intel Mac.
They were able to utilize the HASP API to store customized license information on the
HASP key, including information regarding the licensed product, and which product features
were enabled. They could also remotely activate new features, and utilize a HASP key to
provide centralized shared licensing for groups and even entire institutions via their own
License Server product. Best of all, with HASP, Improvision knew they would be able to
grow their revenues by implementing licenses specific to their customer's needs, thereby
increasing sales.
