The Werner von Boltenstern Shanghai Photograph and Negative Collection The William H. Hannon Library’s Digital Library Program is celebrating the launch of the Werner von Boltonstern Shanghai Photograph and Negative Collection. This series of 665 images captures 19371947 Shanghai and covers a wide variety of subject matters including the lives of Chinese citizens, Jewish Holocaust refugees, French and British nationals and the Japanese military presence. The collection may be viewed in the Hannon Library’s Digital Collections. Crowdsourcing Project Through a crowdsourcing effort, the William H. Hannon Library seeks to gain new insights as well as expand upon, improve and correct the limited information we have about this collection.
