BHP Billiton Petroleum Pyrenees Development Client: BHP Billiton Petroleum Location: North West Shelf region, Australia Project Type: SURF The Pyrenees Development is one of the largest SURF projects executed on the North West Shelf due to the volume of wells and subsea architecture. Execution of the Pyrenees Development project was fast tracked with the Toisa Proteus mobilising in Singapore three weeks after the contract was awarded. Subsea 7 was able to fast track the execution of the Pyrenees project by using our significant engineering and operational experience and extensive local knowledge. Our flexible approach to the dynamic offshore sequence improved the overall efficiency of the work programme offshore. Second end riser hung off prior to deployment BHP Billiton Petroleum was able to achieve first oil in May 2010.
